Clients of Community Food Share (the Food Bank) living in the Williamsburg area will soon have an option for simpler access to food. Foodbank clients can pick up their food hampers at the new Williamsburg Satellite location of Community Food Share at 4324 Villa Drive, Williamsburg, ON, on the 1st Thursday of each month between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. Clients in the Williamsburg area who require food are asked to please call 613-543–0065 by 8 p.m. on Wednesday to reserve your food order. Drivers and volunteers are in place to begin deliveries in early February.
The service will also be available to residents of the Williamsburg area who may not have previously used the services of Community Food Share due to transportation difficulties. Anyone in need of Food Share services is urged to contact Community Food Share. Community members are urged share this information with anyone they known is seeking help in these very trying times.
In a related move, Community Food Share has announced the phasing out of the Crysler Food Cupboard. Statistics have shown that clients in that area choose to place their food order for pick up at Winchester location. Residents living in North Stormont who require food assistance are invited to call 613-774-0188 to make an appointment to pick up 5-7 days of healthy, nutritious food for their family at the Winchester location (open Monday -Wednesday -Thursday).
As an alternative, residents who are unable to travel to our Winchester location are able to pick up their food order at the Finch Satellite Location, located at Chalmers United Church in Finch. The location is open every Thursday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for food hamper pick up. Please call 613-774-0188 by Wednesday at 8 p.m. to make an appointment .
Due to COVID-19 Community Food Share is unable to provide client choice shopping model at our food banks. he organization continues to have curbside pick up.
